What does the job involve?

The contract administrator manages and reviews business contracts for the company. The duties include negotiating contract terms and conditions with each party, analyzing potential risks involved with certain agreements, and make sure that the information outlined in the contracts are well known and understood by all parties. This role will be supporting both facilities Jet Products and Ketema. 

 What will my responsibilities include?

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s work standards, procedures and safety policies
  • Manage contracts, contractual changes, and adherence of both the company and the customer
  • Prepare, compile and assess all necessary documents for bids and quoting purposes
  • Participate in bids and negotiations
  • Ensure all project members adhere to the contract
  • Attends required cross-functional meetings to align company obligations with customer demands and deadlines
  • Strong organization mindset required
  • Maintain contract records & files
  • Organized documentation of contract awards, modifications, performances, and compliance of basic client/customer demands
  • Answers clients on deliverables, inquiries, or complaints on products & services
  • Proposes solutions for work improvements
  • Knowledge of DFAR and FAR clauses is a plus
  • Analyze system productivity and identify areas of improvement.
  • Take sufficient steps to minimize project risks
  • Coordination with other departments/ functions to increase order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
  • Interface with customers and internal team members - central point of contact
  • Proficient English
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate with peers throughout the company.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, constant, and consistent communication both internally and externally
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities- Kaizen events
  • Safety training
  • Participate in various training when needed

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to use computer tools
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, and processes involved in contracts administration
  • Ability to analyze information, to work in a team environment, and work with cross-functional groups
  • Must be detail-oriented & organized
  • Ability to meet deadlines

What qualifications should I have?

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education

 Experience:

  • 4 years experience in contracts management, customer service, preference in a manufacturing environment.
  • Government contracts experience is a plus
