Who is Senior Metal Bellows?

Senior Metal Bellows continues to refine and develop welded metal bellows technology and the integration of welded metal bellows into critical aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, and industrial applications. Our 115,000 square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located on Route 1 in Sharon, Massachusetts.

What is the Position?

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading multiple teams of professionals consisting of sales, engineering, quality, purchasing, planning, and manufacturing leaders in the efficient and effective execution of projects.  Projects typically involve design, development, prototyping, testing, and delivery of highly engineered devices to customers in Defense, Aerospace, Semiconductor, Medical, and industrial markets.  Further, this individual will be responsible for developing companywide PM tools as well as disseminating and training these tools as appropriate.  This individual will help to create the overall approach and help to drive a PM culture and mindset throughout the business. This individual will also responsible for leading engineering related IT implementation projects (such as PLM) and be the liaison between engineering, IT, and external implementation partners. 

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for budgets and milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options and/or problems facing the project
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicate progress to senior staff and business leaders and seek management guidance when appropriate
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

What Education and Qualifications are needed for the job?

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in business management or equivalent
  • Strong preference for BS in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project manager in relevant industry and technology areas
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen with ability to work across multiple functional areas in the business
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Oracle experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of PLM systems (3Dx in particular) and experience in implementation
  • PMP certification is a plus
