Senior Metal Bellows continues to refine and develop welded metal bellows technology and the integration of welded metal bellows into critical aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, and industrial applications. Our 115,000 square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located on Route 1 in Sharon, Massachusetts.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, make standard set up and operate:

 

One (1) of the following types of presses following standard procedures to produce a variety of bellows components and other metal parts.

§  Hydraulic/small

§  Mechanical

§  Hydraulic/medium

§  Coiler/Slitter

§  Hydraulic/large

 

§  Hydraulic/extra-large

 

Essential Elements:

  1. Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required
  2. Work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions.
  3. Make set-up, or obtain assistance with complicated set-ups. Inspect per ES Specifications to ensure parts are in compliance with all quality and dimensional requirements. Maintain set-up and make minor adjustments when necessary, referring unusual problems or situations to supervisor.
  4. Ensure quality of product through quantitative charting techniques such as statistical process control (SPC) and the use of a variety of precision measuring devices and equipment including contour reader and non-contact measuring system.
  5. Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions.

 

Secondary Elements:

  1. Maintain necessary records. Detect and report operation of faulty equipment and unusual conditions to team leader. Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe and orderly working condition. Follow safety rules and regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  2. Work effectively with others and actively participate in continuous business improvement activities.
  3. Ensure compliance with all Quality and Environmental Health & Safety procedures. Attend EH&S training relative to functional duties.

 

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing Experience
