Quality Inspector
Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for upholding current safety policies and oversees the product development process to ensure that all products meet quality standards. The Quality Inspector is also responsible for performing tests on products at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications, blueprint, and Purchase Order requirements are being met and company quality standards are followed.

Maintains record of inspections and prepares lists of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specifications and to facilitate the acceptance of parts.

Qualifications: (minimum required to perform and be successful in this position)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years of experience related to QA engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:
Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings
Knowledge of measuring gauges, calipers and instruments
- Communication and language skills:
Must be able communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Some geometry used in tube and duct manufacturing is preferred
Ability to work Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Must be able to understand requirements and be able to make determinations based on the Specifications, blueprint and Purchase order instructions

Interacts internally with co-workers, lead, manager and senior managers on a daily basis. Some Interaction with Customer’s and on-site Source Inspectors.
Discretion and independent Judgement:
Must be able to determine the acceptability of product based on hard evidence or measurements taken that proves the product conforms to all customer requirements which include: specifications, tooling, blueprints, and purchase orders.
