JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Service Inside Sales Planner is responsible for the full life cycle of legacy product order management. This process starts with quotation generation, order intake, production planning, and expediting along with providing high-level customer service.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
Customer Satisfaction
- Perform contract review to understand customer requirements including price, quantity, and the due date
- Production plan development with Purchasing and Operations to meet customer due dates
- Work with Shipping to ensure required shipping documents are prepared
Communication
- Professionally communicate relevant information with other departments and customers and with a high level of urgency
Quotations
- Complete existing part quotations and communicate to the customer promptly
- Ability to work with Engineering and Purchasing departments to complete Customer quotations to include detailed tracking of each quotation to meet our Customer requested timing
Financial Stewardship
- Monitor the financial performance of quotations versus actual costs
- Gather and report metrics for legacy product range performance
EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE
- 3 to 5 plus years’ experience in Customer Service and/or Inside Sales in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical, and/or metal fabrication industries preferred
- Sales quotations process experience
- Strong familiarity in production planning
- ERP and MRP experience, Infor Syteline highly preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills
