Description

Position Summary:

Packing products and preparing them for delivery.  Navigating customer websites and data entry.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

The following job functions are not all-inclusive.  The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities requested by supervisor.  Job duties and requirements may change as required by needs of Company.

 

 

Essential Duties in Order of Priority

1.        

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

2.        

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages

3.        

May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and be designated Returned

4.        

Input of data entry

Daily

5.        

May coordinate with others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments

As Required

6.        

Track outside processed assemblies at the supplier

As Required

7.        

Clean and maintain work area as part of 5S program

Daily

8.        

Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate

Qualifications: (minimum required to perform and be successful in this position)

  • Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

 

  • Experience:

One year working experience

 

  • Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:

General knowledge of manufacturing.  Ability to understand and read blue prints, customer specifications and internal/customer purchase orders a plus.

 

  • Communication and Language skills:

Requires the ability communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, easily understood manner

Requires English verbal and written skills

 

  • Mathematical skills:

Requires basic math skills to perform basic calculations such as addition and subtraction

 

  • Computer Skills:

Ability to work Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

 

  • Reasoning ability:

Requires ability to access facts and develop conclusions

 

  • Certificates or Licenses:

None required

Supervision Received:

This position receives daily instructions from Manager/Lead.  Work is reviewed on an as needed basis depending on project or task from management responsible for end results

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory authority over others

 

Discretion and independent Judgement:  

Must be able to make sound judgments of safe practices while working

 

Interaction with others (internally and externally):

This position interacts internally with co-workers, managers and senior managers from all departments. Continual interaction with external suppliers
