Description

Position Summary:

Supervise Inventory to maximize throughput and accuracy of transactions.  Train and allocate personnel resources to maintain appropriate flow through department for the purpose of meeting operational start dates for all work centers within the company to ensure On-time Delivery to the customers.  Manage and maintain department skill matrixes. Ensure products are processed in accordance with standards.  Order materials and supplies to support the department requirements.

Essential Duties in Order of Priority

1.        

Manage and monitor your team and their work-loads to ensure goals and targets are reached

Foresight to understand when OT should be requested or adjustments of schedules to execute required shipments

Analyze flow process to trigger additional resources needed to execute all jobs required for the day

4.        

Running and analyzing reports – AWS Report, Days in Station Report and KPI Reports, GEMBA data

5.        

Maintain 5S in area – Sort, set-in-order, shine, standardize and sustain

6.        

Ordering supplies prior to depletion to ensure no shortages

7.        

Work in collaboration with Quality and AE departments to ensure urgent orders remain a priority and daily sales targets are met

8.        

Responsible for cross-training personnel within the departments

Manage and maintain department skills matrix

Manage/monitor equipment in the department. Responsible for arranging for equipment repairs with non-production or outside vendor

Qualifications: (minimum required to perform and be successful in this position)

  • Education:

High School diploma and/or GED

 

  • Experience:

Requires 1 year work experience

 

  • Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:

None required

 

 

 

  • Communication and Language skills:

Requires the ability communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, easily understood manner

Requires English verbal and written skills

 

  • Mathematical skills:

Requires basic math skills to perform basic calculations such as addition and subtraction

 

  • Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MSOffice

 

  • Reasoning ability:

Requires ability to access facts and develop conclusions

 

  • Certificates or Licenses:

None required

 

  • Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Knowledge of warehouse inventory

Supervision Received:

This position receives daily instructions from Manager/Lead.  Work is reviewed on an as needed basis depending on project or task from management responsible for end results

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory authority over others

Must be able to make sound judgments of safe practices while working.

 

Interaction with others (internally and externally):

This position interacts internally with co-workers, managers and senior managers from all departments
