Who is Senior Metal Bellows?

Senior Metal Bellows continues to refine and develop welded metal bellows technology and the integration of welded metal bellows into critical aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, and industrial applications. Our 115,000 square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located on Route 1 in Sharon, Massachusetts.

We have demonstrated excellence in creating new products and solutions that face extremes of temperature, pressure, leakage risk, and reliability demands. We accomplish these objectives within a culture of strong collegial support, mutual respect and uncompromising standards.

What is the Position?

With minimal supervision, perform all phases of deburring operations using all of the tools and equipment necessary to meet the surface finish and dimensional requirements on a wide variety of complex parts made of various metals and materials

What are the key responsibilities?

  1. Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
  2. Work from blueprints, sketches, method sheets, and other written instructions.
  3. Analyze finish and dimensional requirements and determine the most effective and efficient processes. Select equipment, media, and cycle time to achieve required results.
  4. Operate a variety of tools and equipment including speed lathe, tumbling equipment, high powered scopes, drills, hand grinders, a wide range of hand and power operated tools, and fixed and variable measuring equipment.
  5. Troubleshoot problems and develop and implement corrective action.
  6. Determine techniques necessary to salvage bellows subassemblies and assemblies.
  7. Suggest equipment and process improvements and replacement.
  8. Respond to questions and help resolve problems. Assist with training of other employees    and advise them on latest techniques and most efficient use of equipment

 

What Education and Qualifications are needed for the job?

  • Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience
