What Does the Job Involve?

This position works closely with site managers and the HR team in the administration of a variety of HR activities, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, talent development, and HR programs and procedures. This position will support 2 locations located in Kearney Mesa and El Cajon, CA.

What will my responsibilities include?

Manages the recruiting process: works with managers to determine requirements of open positions, writes and posts job advertisements with appropriate recruitment sources, develops networks and processes to support a pipeline of qualified candidates, pre-screens resumes and interviews applicants, assists managers in preparing job offers, and analyses reports and trends. Makes recommendations to enhance candidate experience

Builds and maintains favorable relationships with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of conducting employment advertisement campaigns; develops and maintains programs to attract underrepresented employee groups through college recruiting, veteran partnerships and similar programs.

Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers through social media networks and tools. Maintains company career page, LinkedIn accounts, and other social media networks.

Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to performance management and employee development. Counsels employees and managers on work-related problems, striving to resolve employee relations issues.

Facilitates new hire orientation and on-boarding activities. Conducts employee exit interviews and provides feedback to management. Facilitates off-boarding process with employees, identify trends and makes recommendations.

Receives and responds to requests concerning HR policies/program. Assists in the communication of employee benefit plans, employee services and other company-wide programs and initiatives.

Manages Leave of Absence processes in Kronos Workforce Ready and ADP.

Prepares compliance related documents for HR and Quality certifications and others reviews

May facilitate employee training and be involved in needs assessments and recommendations for hourly workforce.

Assists HR Manager and HR Director, as necessary

What Key Skills and Experience Do I Need?

  • Preferably, at least three (3) to five (5) years of HR Generalist experience, with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition.
  • Previous experiences with HRIS systems Kronos Workforce Ready, ADP and ATS systems.
  • Experience using MS office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Have the ability to solve problems
  • Provide clear verbal and written communication,
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Be familiar with personal computers and information systems
  • Knowledge of basic human resources procedures
  • Demonstrate integrity
  • Ability to pass criminal background check

What Qualifications Should I Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related fields.
  • HR certification highly desired
