FABRICATION PLANNING PREPPER

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Review customer Quality, Engineering and Specification requirements to create Engineering Drawing packets. Generating coordinate data packet to accompany the shop travelers. Generate aides to assist manufacturing departments. Supporting Planning department as needed. 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities requested by supervisor. Job duties and requirements may change as required by needs of Company.

Essential Duties in Order of Priority 
Interpret customer drawings / specifications / Quality Manual/ PO clauses and Terms and Conditions while creating Engineering Drawing packets. 

Generate Engineering drawing packets, coordinate data sheets, Weld schedule aides, Masking 2· Drawings, Label drawings.

Plot X,Y,Z intersection points, label locations and masking locations from CAD models

Verifyiri􀁰and Scheduling part manufacturing base-9_ off of Custo111er purchase order/forecast
Perform document control of Engineering drawing packets, customer specifications and industry specifications in data retention system

Running daily dispatch report and route jobs to manufacturing.

Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate

QUALIFICATIONS: (minimum required to perform and be successful in this position)

• Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
1- 3 years manufacturing industry experience

• Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:
Blueprint/drawing interpretation, 30 modeling experience, fabrication and assembly experience
• Communication and Language skills:
Ability to communicate respectfully and knowledgably, verbally and written, with co-workers and customers

• Mathematical skills:
Requires basic math skills. A strong understanding of Geometry is preferred.
• Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of MS word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets - formulas, graphs and charts.
• Reasoning ability:
Requires ability to assess facts and develop conclusions

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: 
Incumbent receives direction on a daily basis. 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
This position has no day-to-day management responsibility. 
DISCRETION AND INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: 
Must use knowledge to make day to day decisions on interpretation of customer requirements to ensure compliance 
INTERACTION WITH OTHERS {INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY): 
Interacts with multiple department leads and Managers. Minimal external interaction. 
RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Work with others in the planning department as well as area leads and managers in improvement activities to decrease cycle times and improve efficiencies. 
IMPACT OF POSITION ON ORGANIZATION: 
Critical to properly interpret customer data to ensure all parts manufactured are in compliance
