What Does the Job Involve?

The Talent Acquisition / HR Generalist has responsibility for the entire candidate experience, from the first moment they become aware of an opportunity to their first day as a new employee. As such, this position oversees planning, developing, managing and overseeing talent acquisition and recruitment processes and strategies, as well as ownership of related social media and systems  

What Will My Day to Day Be Like?

  • Manage and conduct full-cycle recruitment efforts for exempt, nonexempt, student, and independent contractor positions
  • Develop recruiting strategies to attract and acquire “A” caliber talent to the organization
  • Develop and implement job descriptions and recruitment strategies with department managers that will support the evolving needs of the business
  • Partner with Department Leadership, Managers, and Supervisors to forecast staffing needs and requirements
  • Strategically place and monitor advertisements to target population, actively recruit using social media such as LinkedIn and resume search engines, and utilize creative recruitment techniques
  • Manage applicant tracking process. Tracks applications and applicant data by updating Kallidus Recruit.
  • Manage employee drug screenings, assessments, and background check reports
  • Manage key metrics around candidate flow, acceptance rate, yield, turnover, satisfaction, etc.
  • Refine and streamline the recruitment processes to ensure that amazing, talented, and qualified people are selected as a cultural fit
  • Maintain job descriptions, may include job analysis.  Update organizational charts, conducts new employee orientation.
  • Prepare human resource documents, reports, letters and/or other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Process, verify and maintain personnel related documents.
  • Assist human resources with a variety of tasks to include but not limited to: maintaining records management systems including maintaining and updating Human Resource Information System (HRIS) with employee data changes.
  • Assists employees with various information including but not limited to benefits, completing forms as needed.
  • Handle confidential information/material. Assists with special events, activities and/or projects.
  • Answer general questions and inquiries into company policies, procedures, open positions, etc.
  • Stays current with laws, regulations, procedures, trends and best practices governing recruitment related activities

What Key Skills and Experience Do I Need?

  • Customer focused, maintains high energy and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in the face of adversity.
  • Able to quickly analyze data and generate countermeasures that meet customer expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Efficient in the use of Power Point presentation tools and Excel spreadsheets.

What Qualifications Should I Have?

  • Bachelor's degree required and 5 years’ experience or equivalent combination. HR Certification, preferred.
  • Experience: Recruiting in a manufacturing environment a plus. Experience in the aerospace or industrial industry highly desirable.
