Who is Senior Metal Bellows?

Senior Metal Bellows continues to refine and develop welded metal bellows technology and the integration of welded metal bellows into critical aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, and industrial applications. Our 115,000 square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located on Route 1 in Sharon, Massachusetts.

What is the Position?

Under general direction, follow standard MOS procedures to perform a wide variety of electro-polishing operations and qualitative measurement techniques (SPC) to maintain proper material thickness on a variety of stamped diaphragms and other components.

What are the key responsibilities?

  1. What Edu Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
  2. Work from drawings and other documented work instruction.  
  3. Make standard set-ups and maintain operating conditions as prescribed, submitting questionable settings to appropriate supervisor or technical leader.
  4. Verify material to be electro-polished, load components on to appropriate electro-polish racks. Adjust racks if necessary. Select proper voltage and time parameters to ensure compliance with print specifications.
  5. Periodically test bath for temperature and specific gravity to verify integrity. If chemical baths must be changed, coordinate bath change activity with maintenance department to ensure safe transfer to hazardous waste storage area. Add chemistry as necessary to support production requirements.
  6. Ensure that all equipment gages are in compliance with gage calibration requirements and return to calibration department if necessary.
  7. Maintain required quality and productivity levels, making minor machine and tooling adjustments to comply with requirements.
  8. Inspect parts using specialized measuring equipment to ensure dimensional correctness.
  9. Ensure quality requirements are maintained using quantitative charting techniques, including Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  10. When required, assist and/or train other team members.
  11. Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions.
