What does the job involve?

The Payroll Supervisor is accountable for all payroll operations for 2 sites of Senior Aerospace SoCal.

Kearny mesa and El Cajon.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Oversee the processing, auditing, and approval of a weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Manages payroll system changes.
  • Identifies root causes and resolves payroll and/or system problems in ADP and Kronos.
  • Review the accuracy of timekeeping records for payroll processing.
  • Manage out of sequence payroll that require special reporting and withholding.
  • Management Reporting.
  • Manage and configure pay calculation and accruals in HRIS system.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions concerning pay details and W-2’s.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, including quarterly and year end.
  • Ensures accurate year-end processing and timely distribution of W2’s.
  • Processes payroll end-to-end as needed to cover the payroll processor.
  • Interface and collaborate with ADP customer representative to gain understanding of system configurations to eliminate errors and inefficiencies.
  • Continuous maintenance of employee payroll records and the ability to leverage the system to query and extract data.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and government regulatory requirements.

What key skills and experience do I need?

Must be detail oriented, have the ability to solve problems, provide clear verbal and written communication, maintain confidentiality and be familiar with personal computers and information systems, including payroll and reporting systems and payroll tax laws.

What qualifications should I have?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPP preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Payroll. Experience within a manufacturing operation, highly preferred. Experience with ADP Enterprise and Kronos a plus. Strong Excel and Report Writing skills. Self-motivated and self-directed. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
