What does the job involve?

The Controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the Ketema operating site, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with IFRS.

This position provides financial and accounting support to operational departments as well as supervision of the finance department team.  Provides expertise in financial functions such as budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, working capital management, and capital investment analysis. 

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Develop and execute monthly plans to deliver cash flow through management of customer and vendor trade accounts.
  • Leads the detailed monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for the Company.
  • Design and publish key operational and financial performance measures, working with operational departments at Ketema, with the objective of improving Company profit and cash performance. Interface and collaborate with ADP customer representative to gain understanding of system configurations to eliminate errors and inefficiencies.
  • Manage and supervise the accounting department.
  • Maintain a balanced and qualified team and oversees their growth & performance.
  • Segregate duties as necessary and ensure adequate levels of cross training are sustained.
  • Deliver Ketema and Senior plc required reports and analysis on-time.
  • Build and maintain relationships with peers throughout the company.
  • Interact with external auditors, internal auditors, and other senior plc management as needed.
  • Communicate verbally and/or in writing financial reports, as needed.
  • Oversee the weekly and monthly accounting close and reporting cycle.
  • Support the effective use and further development of the Ketema ERP system.

What key skills and experience do I need?

Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, self-directed, and the ability to solve problems. Provide clear verbal and written communication, maintain confidentiality and be familiar with personal computers and information systems, including payroll and reporting systems and payroll tax laws.

What qualifications should I have?

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.  MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred.

Experience: 5 - 10 Years progressive work experience in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
