JOB SUMMARY

Manufacturing development role working closely with engineering and production resources to develop new, and improve existing, products and processes.

KEY RESULTS AREAS

Job Knowledge & Functional Excellence

  • Develop next-generation product and manufacturing processes along with the tools and machinery necessary
  • Work closely with production floor and R&D lab to allow for timely production of engineering samples as well as pilot and initial production runs
  • Work closely during product launches to enable a seamless transition from early prototypes to regular production
  • Ensure all employees follow and comply with Senior’s safety policies, protocols, and procedures 

Process & Systems Documentation

  • Document all activities in the prescribed fashion
  • Communicate learnings clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders
  • Translate learnings into necessary documentation needed for integration into the production line
  • Follow and comply with Senior’s safety and quality standards and protocols

Support Personnel Training 

  • Mentor and train setup and operators on production floor on new or improved product and process aspects

Intellectual Property & Technical Standard Stewardship

  • Actively protect Senior's intellectual property through patent participation, rigid utilization of NDAs, and documentation of developed technology

EDUCATION

  • Associate's degree in a related technical area, four degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 plus years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably supporting new product development
  • Tooling design and fabrication, machining experience, and machine/fixture building 
  • Metal fabrication & Blue print reading skills
  • Basic to intermediate MS Office skills
  • SolidWorks experience highly preferred
