What does the job involve?
Internship to consist of hands-on projects involved with areas such as design, manufacturing, and operations.
What will my responsibilities include?
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with technical instruction updates to enhance manufacturing clarity.
- Support Manufacturing Engineers and Cell Leaders to observe manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Provide analysis and recommendations for equipment repair and maintenance projects
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with tool and fixture designs, including modeling and drafting.
- Compile statistical process control data (SPC) to identify opportunities to reduce Non-conformances and rework.
- Provides support of manufacturing practical processes.
- Assumes Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities under the guidance of a Manufacturing Engineer for projects as assigned.
- Work closely in designing techniques, tools, and principles.
- Work together with engineering involving the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Responsible for supporting unit initiatives.
- Learns and understands systems and processes within a regulated industry.
- Assists project Engineers with managing and supporting the execution of projects.
What key skills and experience do I need?
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Must be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and be self-motivated.
- Follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills and thrive in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including being able to manage large amounts of data and tasks – Advanced
- Blueprint and schematics reading – Basic
- Software (NX, Solidworks, CATIA) Preferred
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
What qualifications should I have?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college preferred. Completed or in process.
