What does the job involve?

Internship to consist of hands-on projects involved with areas such as design, manufacturing, and operations.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with technical instruction updates to enhance manufacturing clarity.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineers and Cell Leaders to observe manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for equipment repair and maintenance projects
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with tool and fixture designs, including modeling and drafting.
  • Compile statistical process control data (SPC) to identify opportunities to reduce Non-conformances and rework.
  • Provides support of manufacturing practical processes.
  • Assumes Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities under the guidance of a Manufacturing Engineer for projects as assigned.
  • Work closely in designing techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Work together with engineering involving the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Responsible for supporting unit initiatives.
  • Learns and understands systems and processes within a regulated industry.
  • Assists project Engineers with managing and supporting the execution of projects.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and be self-motivated.
  • Follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and thrive in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including being able to manage large amounts of data and tasks – Advanced
  • Blueprint and schematics reading – Basic
  • Software (NX, Solidworks, CATIA) Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T.

What qualifications should I have?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college preferred. Completed or in process.
