JOB SUMMARY
The EHS Manager is responsible for driving and leading compliance initiatives and continuous improvement to all of Senior Flexonics' environmental, health, and safety initiatives and programs. The EHS Manager implements policies, training initiatives, environmental, health, and safety programs, etc. to ensure Senior Flexonics complies with regulatory guidelines while promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
EHS Compliance
- Lead all SMS and EMS initiatives to meet and comply with Senior's and regulatory guidelines
- Lead all compliance audits
- Drive environmental and safety projects aimed at reducing Senior's environmental impact and promoting a safe and healthy work environment
- Act as the organization's EHS SME and liaison with regulatory agencies
- Drive Senior's BBS initiative to improve safety metrics
- Lead EHS related employee training
Project Management
- Responsible for successfully driving all EHS projects to completion.
- Ensures EHS projects are properly scoped and selected to meet the organization's EHS goals.
- Leads EHS projects through a disciplined approach and time management to ensure projects are rolled out and executed on time and within budget
- Monitors and controls EHS projects desired metrics via formal project review meetings, updates, reports, visuals, etc.
Department Leadership and Management
- Lead, develop, and manage EHS department staff
- Direct and assign EHS related projects, tasks, etc. to staff
- Continuously evaluate department staff to ensure acceptable performance standards are met
- Handle performance issues objectively on a timely basis.
Employee & Labor Relations
- Exemplifies and upholds Senior’s Code of Conduct while promoting teamwork and collaboration via transparent communications
- Resolves EHS related issues and recommends appropriate action through fact-finding investigations
- Maintains working relationship with the Union by following and knowing the terms of the collective bargaining agreement
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety or Occupational Safety or other related fields
- OSHA 30 Hour, ISO 14001, Class K, RCRA, SWPPP certifications and permitting experience
EXPERIENCE
- 5 plus years experience in EHS management in manufacturing environments
- Experience in automotive highly preferred
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts
- Infor Syteline highly preferred
- PMP and/or APQP Certification is a plus
- Spanish speaking ability highly desirable
