What does the job involve?

Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Applies general to technical accounting practices and concepts in the timely preparation of the month end close including, but not limited to, account reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing, collections, revenue and gross margin reconciliations, and financial statement input.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Manages the accounting for fixed assets at Senior Aerospace Ketema and including, standardizing policies and procedures, complying with group policies, performing physical inventory and tagging fixed assets.
  • Assists Assistant Controller with report preparation, analysis, and recording of transactions.
  • Manages customer invoicing, accounts receivable, cash application, and supports cash forecasting.
  • Posts journal entries and balances books of account, such as cashbook, general journal, sales book, purchase register, and general and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Has a strong understanding of revenue recognition under IFRS 15, and helps to ensure sales are properly stated.
  • Assists with weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting to group.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested and helps with process improvement projects as assigned.

  • Must be detail-oriented and have a strong team player attitude.

What qualifications should I have?

 Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing accounting preferred, but not required.
