Who is Steico Industries?

What does the job involve?

Packing products and preparing them for delivery.  Navigating customer websites and data entry.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Prepares items to remain free from damage in transit or storage by use of protective sleeves, wrapping, and padding.
  • Is expected to visually inspect outgoing product as the last line of defense in the company-wide quality system.
  • Input of data entry
  • May coordinate with others in preparing outgoing shipments
  • Access customer portals to determine shipping instructions
  • Move material to other areas of the factory
  • Clean and maintain work area as part of 5s program
  • Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate – overtime may be required.

What key skills and experience do I need?

One year of experience working in a manufacturing company

What qualifications should I have?

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:

General knowledge of Manufacturing with the ability to check and compare documents, measure parts for shipping, operate heat sealing and tape dispensing machines.
