What does the job involve?

We are currently seeking a full-time Assembler for 1st (06:30-15:00) at our Kearny Mesa (San Diego, CA)

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Perform routine assemblies such as rivets and nut plates.
  • Mix silicone and apply to nut plate for piecing together machined part with nut plates and rivets to create a sub-assembly for aerospace engine.
  • Clean rivet holes, prep rivets for assembly.
  • Position nut plate and rivets in specified sections.
  • Ensure assembly holes are clean and clear of paint and debris.
  • Perform assembly such as fastening parts by hand or using hand tools or portable powered tools operates equipment as necessary to produce or process parts.
  • May be assigned to different work stations as production needs are required.
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive criticism, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, self-directed, and the ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of drilling machines and tools.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.

What qualifications should I have?

Education:

  • Education: High school diploma/GED.
  • Vocational training is a plus

Experience:

  • 6 – 12 months of previous experience preferred.
