Senior Aerospace SSP, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and qualifying complex ducting systems for aerospace applications. Since its humble roots in 1945, the campus has now expanded to include a 59,000 sq. ft high-volume production facility, in addition to its legacy 131,000 ft2 main buildings which combined, accommodate over 500 employees. Vertically integrated with its own foundry, fabrication shop, and ISO certified engineering lab, Senior Aerospace SSP acquired by Senior PLC in 1995 and has continued its expansion into new programs and technologies. 

What does the job involve?

Summary: The Aftermarket Sales Lead (ASL) is responsible for driving sales targets through strategic relationships with Senior Aerospace SSP’s customers and managing internal resources in order to achieve, maintain, and grow a robust portfolio of accounts. The ASL will manage customer KPIs, contracts, and new tenders/RFPs with the intent to structurally increase both sales and profit for the organization. Self-actualized ownership and accountability are key skills this individual will possess in order to make key strategic decisions on the company’s behalf and interact with and support the Director of Business Development.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The ASL must be a self-motivator, work independently, and be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for ‘cradle to grave’ proposal management for key accounts: Lead generation, RFP response management, contract and pricing analysis, and final submission before deadline.
  • Provides rigorous analysis of cost and price data and industry dynamics to prioritize and launch new sales initiatives and cost reductions.
  • Interfaces with customers internal stakeholder teams to bring deals to closure and satisfy customer demands.
  • Prepares program reviews and status reports to internal management and customers
  • Works in a highly collaborative manner, in a matrixed environment, to represent Senior Aerospace SSP with senior customer stakeholders and senior customer executives
  • Produce and analyze reports from ERP and various other Company information systems
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Business Development

 Education and/or Experience:

  • BS or BA Degree or a combination of education and 2-3 years of experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sales/program management preferably in the aerospace industry in a similar role
  • Experience entering orders and creating quotations in an ERP/MRP system is required
  • Experience in a position with a high degree of impact on an organization’s PNL is preferred
  • Experience with international customers and diverse cultural backgrounds is required

Required and Preferred Skills:

  • Workplace Communication and Interaction: The ASL must have the capability and experience to interact and work with colleagues in a pleasant, team-spirited, and diplomatic manner. The TCS must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable and confident in making trade compliance presentations to employee groups from all disciplines and levels.
  • Reasoning Ability: The ASL must be able to review, understand and analyze highly complex drawings, routing steps, and their relationship to the company PNL. The ASL must be able to not merely detect potential production or profitability problems or concerns, but also determine and apply sound creative reasoning to arrive at solutions that support both business and customer/end user requirements
  • Mathematical Skills: The TCS must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Additional Abilities: The TCS must have strong computer skills, including experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs. Experience with ERP systems and project/task organization systems is strongly preferred.
