Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. What does the job involve?

The Supplier Development Coordinator supports the placement of new and current work statements with suppliers.  The maintenance and management of these activities related to matching suppliers core capabilities to The Company’s SOW which will also include estimating, costing, quality approvals, and the supplier performance metrics.  The Supplier Development Coordinator acts as the primary source for supplier sourcing and placement of work.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Follows policies and procedures established for cost containment/reduction for the benefit of the Company.
  • Verification of supplier capacity and quality standards.
  • Submits New Supplier Approval requests to QA.
  • Reduces and/or contains costs for the benefit of the Company.
  • Performs Value Analysis.
  • Close VRMA’s.
  • Complete all outside quoting for Estimating.
  • Complete “Visual Compliance” screenings for all new suppliers.
  • Assignment of tooling and engineering data to supplier.
  • Solicit proposals, conduct bid evaluations, evaluate costs, negotiate optimum delivery schedules and ensure the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, delivery and standard terms and conditions. Assist the Supply Chain Sourcing Manager in recommending and establishing long term agreements.
  • Selects, maintains and controls suppliers within approval guidelines established by management and the customer.
  • Effectively manage multiple competing projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborate internally and with suppliers to develop effective solutions.
  • Coordinate the transfer of new supplier programs to Buyers.
  • Reports any and all Purchase Variances to Supply Chain Sourcing Manager.
  • Provides miscellaneous reports to management as required.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Gives clear, professional presentations to small and large groups.
  • Must be result driven and a strong problem solver.
  • Exhibits and demands high ethical standards in relations with personnel, suppliers and customers. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

What qualifications should I have?

  • Minimum 7 years experience in Manufacturing, Supplier Development, purchasing or related field.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and keyboarding. 
  • Machine Shop part Manufacturing and familiarity with Aerospace Specifications & requirements.
