What does the job involve?

The HR Generalist may assist in many facets of Human Resource, but will have its main responsibility in Recruiting . They will develop an effective recruiting plan and coordinate with local and national resources. Will provide proactive and creative recruiting strategies for the organization. The HR Generalist is responsible for ensuring we are hire the best possible talent, while incorporating state and federal regulations in our hiring practices to maintain compliance.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Use the ATS to full capabilities to track and manage all applicant activity
  • With help from Leadership, will develop and execute annual recruiting plans in support company needs
  • Network with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media and employees
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition
  • Further develop our current working relationships with high school and colleges to aid in recruiting initiatives
  • Record and track effectively the recruiting and hiring process so that they are transparent and measurable
  • Assist in branding for both internal and external purposes
  • With help from Leadership, set continuous improvement goals for recruiting
  • Administrative duties and recordkeeping for EEO requirements
  • Work with hiring managers for effective recruiting by department
  • Create, manage and update job descriptions with support from department leadership
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions in a timely manner
  • Post openings in online venues, with professional organizations, and in other required venues
  • Perform reference and background checks for potential employees
  • Manage the interviewing and selection process
  • Manage communications for candidates not chosen
  • Prepare and send offer letters and corresponding paperwork
  • Proactively search and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Other duties as required

What qualifications should I have?

  • Four years’ experience in recruiting (either directly or indirectly), human resources, or related field.
  • Experienced with ATS’s (Applicant Tracking Systems)
  • Professional Human Resources Certificate or equivalent education preffered
