JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer (Operations) will have responsibility for providing input to the overall manufacturability of assemblies, products, etc. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and process improvements in accordance with safety protocols, product specifications, and quality controls. 'The Manufacturing Engineer supports Project Teams in the development of new products to customers. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for effective and efficient project planning. New and/or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
Manufacturing Support & Process Development
- Review internal and external designs for manufacturability
- Processes that are typical to our manufacturing process include: welding, brazing, machining, fabrication, forming, and assembly
Capital & Tooling Procurement
- Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods
- Develop manufacturing work cells, and procure the necessary capital and tooling to successfully build end-use products
Continuous Improvement
- Ability to work on teams with a creative mind for continually improving process/systems using Lean methodologies and concepts
Project Planning
- Ability to plan projects from start to finish using project management tools
- Demonstrate ability to identify project requirements, divide projects into manageable tasks and deliverables while mitigating risks and obstacles to ensure the plan is completed on time
Additional Responsibilities
- Uphold and comply with all safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial)
EXPERIENCE
- 2 to 3 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical, and/or metal fabrication preferred
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts
- ERP and MRP experience, Infor Syteline highly preferred
- PMP and/or APQP Certification is a plus
