The Position:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will manage supplier programs for manufacturing, packaging, and other operational processes, while ensuring that quality programs comply with manufacturing specifications and customer requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Uphold and take part in the Safety process
- Drive supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement
- Provide leadership and management for the supplier quality department
- Oversee supplier quality team and establish quality control objectives
- Ensure the supplier meets all regulatory and company requirements
- Perform quality system audits
- Maintain supplier quality records
- Manage relationships with suppliers
- Promote initiatives to improve quality
What You Bring:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of supplier quality experience preferably in the automotive industry
- Understanding of IATF 16949 and quality management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and high levels of emotional intelligence
- Hands-on application of APQP, Lean Manufacturing, RCA, 5 Why, and A3 Problem-Solving skills
- Self-accountability & Ownership
- An elevated sense of urgency driving accurate results
- Ability to work well in a team environment
