Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. What does the job involve?

The Buyer - Maintenance Stockroom has oversight of the Maintenance stockroom. This includes purchasing, receiving, storing & issuing parts for preventative and repair activities. Buyer will initiate and issue Purchase Orders from approved requisitions. Buyer will also perform various other tasks to support the maintenance team.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Create Purchase Orders to order parts and/or replenish stock.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies to purchase orders.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming parts.
  • Perform physical inventory to ensure inventory is accurate in MVP Plant system.
  • Maintains order and cleanliness of the maintenance stockroom.
  • Assigns incoming parts to open Work Orders.
  • Prepares paperwork to return parts such as cores and repairable stock.
  • Maintains Spindle Log.
  • Assists machine technician to source repair parts.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Attention to detail: Recognize and identify deviations from requirements.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Customer focus: Work to satisfy internal and external customer needs; give high priority to customer satisfaction and service. Provide information and results accurately, courteously, and in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with employees in the maintenance department. Know when to ask for information and assistance. Demonstrate a willing, positive, and proactive attitude. Follows verbal and written instructions; complete scope of work under general supervision.
  • Company policy awareness: Understand and comply with Company policies and guidelines as described in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Safety Manual and the Quality Management System. Comply with rules and procedures of a drug-free workplace.

What qualifications should I have?

  • Familiar using computer software’s including Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Previous experience using CMMS software a plus. (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Understanding of mathematical calculations using a calculator and a good understanding of the American standard decimal and fraction system, candidate will be using the metric systems.
  • Experience in ERP systems - preferred
  • Experience in stockrooms and inventory systems - preferred
