 Who is GA Precision?

GA Precision is a manufacturer of high-precision machined components and assemblies primarily for heavy-duty diesel engine applications in the off-road land vehicle market, and has a growing presence in the large commercial aircraft market.

What does the job involve?

Under the direction of the area Supervisor, provides technical support to the business unit. Performs multiple tasks of substantial variety and complexity. These tasks require mastery knowledge of machining and inspection processes, operating techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment.

What will my responsibilities include?

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides technical leadership to assigned area.
  • Fills out manufacturing engineering troubleshooting list and uses it as a tool to try and fix the problem.
  • Assist operators in setup or tooling issues. Install and adjust specified programs, fixturing, and tooling to control stock and tool movements at each station.
  • Trains operators in machine operation.
  • Reports any malfunctions to management or submit a maintenance request.
  • Verify production/process conditions.
  • Monitors daily operator PM’s to assure they are being completed.
  • Makes adjustments to equipment as needed to continue production.
  • Operate machine as a backup operator.
  • Responsible for bringing machines back into production after a machine stops in cycle for any reason (power outage, loss of air, axis over travel or other alarms).
  • Ensure that safety policies, work rules and company housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Will identify and lead sort back and containment activities.
  • Assist in the assurance that all employees adhere to all established company TS16949 standards, quality procedures, OII and work instructions and other departmental and GA procedures.

Benefits are effective the first of the month after your date of hire. You will earn 10 vacation days (80 hours) annually.  Your vacation will be prorated and accrue 1.54 hours per week.
