Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. What does the job involve?

The Quality Assurance Administrator supports Quality Assurance in managing processes and activities in support of customer and industry requirements.  The Quality Assurance Administrator performs the following duties.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Maintains a working knowledge of customer and industry quality standards (AS9100 / AS9102).
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Performs internal audits to verify/ensure conformance to AMT requirements and prepares formal audit reports.
  • Reviews for completion and archives completed First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Performs data entry to support daily, weekly, monthly and annual internal and supplier quality metrics, and quality support activities.
  • Presentation of information to internal Company staff.
  • Works with all departments to support continuous improvement activities.
  • Works with/supports Q.E. staff. May take direction from Q.E. staff and/or Director of Quality.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Teamwork: Collaborates and cooperates with Manufacturing, Engineering, and the Quality Department.  Knows when to ask for information and assistance.  Demonstrates a willing, positive, and proactive attitude.  Follows verbal and written instructions; works independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Accountability: Takes responsibility for own actions and results.
  • Company policy awareness: Understands and complies with AMT company policies and guidelines as described in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Safety Manual and the Quality Management System.  Complies with rules and procedures of a drug-free workplace.

What qualifications should I have?

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and email systems.
  • Quality Assurance/Inspection experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings.
  • Basic awareness of GD&T
  • Familiar with Business/ERP Systems and CAD environments (Catia/Enovia)
