We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our 1st shift (6:30 am – 3:00 pm) at our El Cajon, Location.
What does the job involve?
Responsible for the supervision and performance of employees engaged in the assembly and testing of Ketema Designed Products (Space Valves, Fuel Management devices, and Zahodiakin Fasteners). Ensures the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity [SQDIP] of assigned work cell(s) meet expectations and budget. Coordinates activities involved with applying mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly knowledge, shop procedures, and testing techniques in the manufacture of products in accordance with cost, quality, quantity, and regulatory [FAA] specifications. Reports performance metrics and identifies countermeasures to resolve issues, to the leadership team. Works closely with purchasing and planning departments, and with customers to ensure optimal delivery performance.
What will my responsibilities include?
- Supervises skilled assembly and test technicians. Responsible for directing the daily activities of employees to meet production schedule. Interfaces with support functions to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity [SQDIP] goals are met.
- Manage a production plan with short, middle, and long-term actions to achieve customer schedules, manufacturing plan, and financial plans. Shares production and action plans with customers on conference calls. Hosts customer visits when needed.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies including FAA, NADCAP, and customer specifications.
- Ensures that the processes not yielding appropriate results are immediately brought to the attention of technical support groups and follows through to obtain timely corrective action. Implements continuous improvement activities through lean tools such as Kaizens, 5s.
- Continuously pursues cost reductions and quality improvements in manufacturing processes; identifies/investigates root causes and actively participates in corrective action processes when needed.
- Monitors employee performance, instructs, coaches, evaluates, and provides feedback for employee success and improvement.
- Through instruction, coaching, counseling, example, follow‑up, and administration of discipline as necessary, ensures that employees carry out their responsibilities.
- Effectively demonstrates a working knowledge of company systems to include, time & attendance and load/Capacity by analyzing data, developing corrective action plans, and taking appropriate actions to correct problem areas.

What qualifications should I have?
Education: High School with Technical Training or equivalent.
Experience: 5 Years minimum in Aerospace manufacturing, preferably in mechanical and electromechanical assembly and testing.
3 - 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
1-year minimum regulatory agency experience (audit preparation, procedure/specification compliance), FAA Repair Station experience highly desired.
