Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. What does the job involve?

Oversees the Facility Maintenance Department in planning and organizing the repair and maintenance of the company’s buildings, facilities and grounds. Monitors the progress of contracted work including remodeling, new construction, painting, and janitorial services. Assures compliance with timelines, specifications, and budgets.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Plans, organizes, schedules work activities and assigns personnel to projects on the facility buildings, equipment, or grounds of the company
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with Plant Operations Departments
  • Initiates, implements, and manages the buildings and grounds maintenance program, with an emphasis on planning / scheduling and preventative / predictive maintenance
  • Estimate costs and obtain price quotes for outside contracted work to be performed as needed and monitor work in progress
  • Repair and maintain heating and air conditioning equipment and related systems
  • Perform a variety of plumbing work installing, repairing, and maintain fixtures, pumps and lines
  • Oversees electrical work for new installation and repair of circuits, main services, fixtures, and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair as necessary
  • Oversees security and fire systems and is first response to alarms
  • Ensures maintenance technicians are adequately trained and equipped to ensure that maintenance can be performed in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
  • Supervises plant maintenance personnel. Conducts employee performance reviews based on job description to determine competency
  • Assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Ensure complete compliance to QMS, EH&S, and Lean/5S processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What key skills and experience do I need?

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Maintenance Manager position preferably in aerospace industry
  • Good organizational skills, demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines and stay within budget
  • Must be proficient with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with a computerized maintenance management system and instruct others on its operation
  • Technical aspects of the building maintenance trade

Required Training:

    • EH&S Leadership Training to be completed within 30 days of acquiring position
    • HR Leadership Training to begin within 45 days of acquiring position
