The Position:
Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls
What You Will Do:

- Evaluate production process, tooling, and equipment to determine the best methods to fabricate and assemble products
- Assess ways to improve production efficiency, product throughput, and first-time yield
- Document manufacturing processes through work instructions, tool lists, and bulletins
- Train operators on the usage of production equipment
- Establish new production cells as a member of product launch teams
- Assist in the design of machine tools and fixtures for product fabrication and material handling
- Identify and coordinate with outside vendors in sourcing production intent tools, equipment, and machinery
- Assess Design for Manufacturing paradigms and outline production capability constraints
- Assist Design teams in prototype development and target costing
- Interact with operators on a routine basis to gather input and feedback on production operations and product flow
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts within the company structure
What You Bring:
- BS Technical Degree with 3+ years of experience in high-volume repetitive metal fabrication
- Strong knowledge of contemporary manufacturing processes
- Applications of print standards and GD&T toward product fabrication
- Experience in tool design for product manufacture and assembly
- Understanding of manufacturing cells and principles of Kanban systems
- Interaction with vendors for sourcing machines, tooling, and equipment
- Solid knowledge base of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in Lean Methodologies and implementation, commensurate with job responsibilities
