JOB SUMMARY

Perform duties to set up and operate machines in assigned areas including, but not limited to:

Element forming presses, pi die equipment, hydraulic presses, punch presses, tube cutting equipment, shear, roll form machines, flinger or trim lathe.

Work from blueprints, work orders, and instructions:

  • Performs simple operations on turret lathes and engine lathes
  • Operate press, clearing jams and making minor adjustments as needed to ensure conformance to work order.
  • Set up and operate the equipment as listed above.
  • Requires knowledge of the properties of various types of metals.
  • Use calipers and common hand tools.

Follow Safety rules and keep the working area in clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned.

KEY RESULTS AREAS

Safety/5S/Housekeeping

  • Follows all safety protocols, policies, and standards of work.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly condition.
  • Alerts Supervision of any safety-related issues immediately

Quality

  • Follows all quality assurance protocols, policies, and standards of work.
  • Performs inspections using basic measuring instruments.
  • Alerts Supervision of any quality assurance-related issues immediately
  • Operates automatic machines following all safety, quality assurance, and production standards of work
  • Records production information on logs and productions boards
  • Alerts Supervision of any material or equipment issues immediately

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Basic English a must
  • Basic math and reading skills.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years' experience operating automatic machinery in a manufacturing setting preferred but WILL TRAIN CANDIDATES WITH NO MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE
  • Basic use of hand tools and measuring/inspecting equipment
