Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. What does the job involve?

Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of CNC Milling equipment or systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Lead a crew of Maintenance Technicians (approximately 3-6) for hands-on repairs to CNC Milling equipment.
  • You will report to the Maintenance Manager. This role will be to organize a database PM program & manage a parts stockroom to support your efforts.
  • Operate the database PM system with your crew along with the support of the maintenance stockroom clerk.  Maintenance activity includes repairs and PM’s of CNC Milling equipment.
  • Lead the technician training efforts to building a world class maintenance program. You will continue to develop (with manager) a Technician training program for your crew as well as ongoing training for yourself.  This will be on &/or off-site with OEM’s, controls, tech schools, or trade shows. In addition, you will participate in any ongoing leadership training
  • Ensure that maintenance is performed in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner
  • Conducts employee performance reviews based on job description to determine competency.
  • Ensure complete compliance to QMS, EH&S, and Lean/5S processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

What key skills and experience do I need?

Preferred:

  • 8 + years experience as a Maintenance Technician on CNC equipment (or similar)
  • Understanding of Preventative Maintenance systems & experience administering them
  • Expert knowledge of CNC Mills, Lathes, and conventional machines systems
  • In depth understanding of industrial electrical theory
  • Ability to read Blue-prints, Electrical schematics and Hydraulic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of appropriate safety practices and techniques
  • Expert knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, & electrical machine requirements
  • Good organizational skills, demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines and stay within budget
