The Position:

Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting team while supporting the facility's financial initiatives, month-end financial closings, financial reporting, reconciliations, identifying variances, and related root cause analysis.
The Accounting Manager also supports annual budgeting and forecasting processes while managing general ledgers, billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.


What You Will Do:

• Manages and supervises daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable financial regulations and policies.
• Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget, and forecast preparation.
• Oversees and must be a “hands-on” manager for the month/year-end close process, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Manages the budgeting and forecast preparation, collaborating with department heads to create comprehensive and realistic results
• Monitors key financial indicators, identify trends, and provide insights to drive business decisions.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance internal controls
• Coordinates and facilitates internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, including training, mentoring, and performing.
• Participates in projects as assigned, leveraging financial expertise and analysis to support decision-making and drive business growth.

What You Bring:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a CPA is highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with high levels of emotional intelligence
• Experience with GAAP with strong financial analysis and problem skills
• Self-accountability, ownership, and influence
• Robust Microsoft Office knowledge
• Possess team leadership and team-building skills
• An elevated sense of urgency driving accurate results
