What does the job involve?
Summary: The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will be responsible for following the recruiting process to fill key positions for Senior Aerospace SSP, which may include exempt, non-exempt, union/non-union & contract positions. The Recruiter will be an important member of the Talent Acquisition team and will assist with the evolution of our recruiting function and its related processes. This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Recruiter must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Be responsible for following the recruitment process from receipt of new requisitions to sourcing & screening candidates, interviews, offers and acceptance of offers.
- Collaborate with the hiring managers to identify recruiting strategies, interview approach and final selection of candidates.
- Collaborate with HR staff to ensure successful and efficient processing of pre-hire verifications for onboarding.
- Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to ensure understanding of requisition requirements and provide suggestions for job descriptions to attract the right talent for the business needs.
- Utilize the applicant tracking system track candidates & requisitions, post positions externally and internally per Union requirements and company policy.
- Source candidates using innovative methods, recruiting tools and social media.
- Provide a high level of customer service to candidates, hiring managers and other internal stakeholders.
- Communicate and partner with external vendors, as needed.
- Ensure candidates receive an excellent “candidate experience” and provide a positive experience to all internal staff.
- Comply with all federal/state laws and regulations governing all stages of the recruiting process.
- Represent the Company at job fairs, college recruiting events and other recruiting events.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
- Other duties with the work as assigned.
- What key skills and experience do I need?

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or other field of study.
- 2-5 years of experience in a recruiting, sourcing, or related role; Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting for Union manufacturing position is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and ability to effectively communicate (written/verbal) with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully complete recruiting and other tasks.
- Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, HRIS systems, ATS systems.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability and follow through.
- Prior specialized Recruiting/Sourcing training is a plus.
- Additional HR or other related certifications is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and written) with all levels of employees within the company. Ability to provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to calculate percentages and calculate salary and pay rates.
- Other Abilities: Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, and state / federal / local employment law. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. Must have excellent negotiation skills, good business acumen, drive cultural change and continuous improvement, ability to manage resources. Must have the ability to understand the Company’s current and desired culture, history, and processes to effectively relate the working experience to interested candidates. Able to solve complex problems independently. Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task with multiple deadlines. Must have excellent active listening skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be highly detailed and organized, exceptional at prioritization and follow-through.

- Personal computer, photocopier, calculator, three-line telephone, cell phone, etc. Must have the ability to effectively use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
ITAR Compliance:
