Who is Senior Aerospace Weston?

Senior Aerospace Weston, located in Lancashire, England, is a leading supplier of a wide range of complex precision machined components, and sub- assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs’) predominantly in the commercial aviation market sector. Our experience and core capabilities support multiple segments of an aircraft’s build, including the manufacture of engine compressor and fan components, engine pylon mounting brackets, pintles, wing ribs and associated aero-structure components. We aim to support our customers with a complete solution, including supply chain management and delivery of line-side kits where appropriate.

CMM Programmer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager this role is responsible for the management of the CMM network.

Key Accountabilities

  • Management of the CMM Network
  • Offline CMM Programming using MCOSMOS
  • CMM Scanning programming
  • Fixture design using Catia
  • Measurelink and Process Capability
  • Provide shop support on daily CMM issues

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Training required

  • Time Served Skilled Engineer / HNC Qualified
  • MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)
  • Experienced in Aircraft Structure parts
  • Experienced in Aero Engine parts
  • Experience of MBD (Model Based Definition)
  • Experience of 2D drawings and customer COS
  • Competent communicator
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Able to work unsupervised to ensure all above duties are completed.
  • Basic and Advanced Mitutoyo knowledge
  • Probe contact scanning
