Senior Metal Bellows continues to refine and develop welded metal bellows technology and the integration of welded metal bellows into critical aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, and industrial applications. Our 115,000 square-foot manufacturing facility is conveniently located on Route 1 in Sharon, Massachusetts.

What is the Position?

The Business Document Control Specialist is responsible for the entire lifecycle of documentation (both electronic and paper) within the company.  Working closely with quality, IT, and engineering, this individual will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a robust technical documentation and configuration management system.

 

What are the key responsibilities?

  1. Establish and maintain document control processes, including version control, document tracking, distribution, and archival, to ensure that documents are current, accessible, and properly managed throughout their lifecycle.
  2. Ensure that documentation practices comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices, such as ISO standards, GDPR, ITAR/EAR and other relevant regulations, by staying informed about regulatory changes and updates.
  3. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains in documentation processes, systems, and workflows.
  4. Collaborate with other team members during the assessment, acquisition, and implementation of new electronic document management systems.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), quality assurance professionals, engineers and IT professionals to gather information, review documents, and facilitate document approvals and revisions.
  6. Safeguard system security and master document integrity by implementing access rights and revision controls.
  7. Provide training and support to employees on documentation processes, systems, and tools, ensuring that staff members understand document requirements, procedures, and best practices for creating and managing documentation.
  8. Work with IT on disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  9. Drive precision and efficiency in managing both electronic and paper documentation through meticulous record maintenance and regular updates. In addition to these responsibilities, lead various supporting duties crucial for maintaining an elevated standard of operational effectiveness in documentation

 

What Education and Qualifications are needed for the job?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or Quality strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data management or document control
  • Experience with implementation of document management systems required.
  • High proficiency in PDM software, Solidworks, 3DX, Sharepoint
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001
  • CMMC certification preferred
