Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. What does the job involve?

The Receiving Clerk receives all incoming freight to the Company, generally excluding Raw Materials. The Receiving Clerk is required to stage, wrap and load all production parts leaving the facility for Outside Processing (OP). These duties are managed and performed as directed by the specific requirements of the customer, within approval guidelines and procedures established by the Materials Manager. The Partmark Clerk applies customer specified identification to manufactured parts. The bulk responsibilities of this position is as a Receiving/Partmark Clerk but will require being a Driver when needed. As a Driver, delivers and picks up goods, and is responsible for the maintenance records, cleanliness, operability and appearance of Company vehicles. These duties are managed and performed as directed by the specific requirements of the Customer, within approval guidelines and procedures established by the Logistics Manager.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Load and unloads various types of trucks
  • Unpacks, sorts, counts, receives, and inspects for damage all delivered goods against bills of lading, pack slips and purchase orders, prior to delivery to designated individuals or areas.
  • Verifies incoming product to drawings and/or applicable paperwork
  • Packages parts for storage in Finished Goods Stores per customer requirements
  • Routes paperwork to Purchasing for scheduling of Outside Processing (OP)
  • Counts, tags, and packages parts for Outside Processing
  • Maintains Outside Processing file
  • Utilizes personal computer in a network environment to update status of Manufacturing Orders and run queue reports
  • Maintains various records and logs
  • Prioritizes jobs using supplied queue reports and customer due dates
  • Identifies (Part marks) parts per Manufacturing Order and Customer specifications
  • Maintains Hazardous Materials Cabinet and performs monthly inventories/audits
  • Operates a forklift
  • Uses hand and power tools
  • Maintains warehouse function, organization and appearance.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Operates various vehicles to transport goods and materials in the Puget Sound area.
  • Operates forklifts, hand trucks and other light hand power equipment. 
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles.
  • Performs daily inspections and weekly written inspections on vehicles (including fluids levels, air pressure, etc.)
  • Maintains daily driving log files.
  • Files purchase order copies.
  • Turns in fuel receipts to accounting.
  • May perform minor maintenance and/or repair to vehicles (such as tire maintenance, wiper blades, fuses, etc.)
  • Reports required maintenance/repair issues to Logistics Manager.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications should I have?

Required:

  • One year experience in Shipping and Receiving
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of aptitude test during interview process
  • Approved training in forklift operation
  • High school diploma
  • Experience in the use of hand and power tools such as hammer, drills, nail and staple guns, etc

Preferred:

  • Passing score on Basic Math Test
  • Approved training in forklift operation
