Who is Senior Aerospace Weston?

Senior Aerospace Weston, located in Lancashire, England, is a leading supplier of a wide range of complex precision machined components, and sub- assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs’) predominantly in the commercial aviation market sector. Our experience and core capabilities support multiple segments of an aircraft’s build, including the manufacture of engine compressor and fan components, engine pylon mounting brackets, pintles, wing ribs and associated aero-structure components. We aim to support our customers with a complete solution, including supply chain management and delivery of line-side kits where appropriate.

 Key Accountabilities

  • Polish and deburr components following SOP and drawing requirement to customer specification.
  • Measure/inspect to drawing tolerance requirements against engineering drawings using Vernier calliper and checking fixtures.
  • Use of power (abrasive discs/pads and brush wheels) and hand tools (files, abrasive, deburr tools to achieve confirming parts

Associated Responsibilities:

  • Promote workspace organisation in accordance with Lean 5S principles and generally help to maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the factory.
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety based upon safe working practices.
  • Ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures, and codes of Practice.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience of working in a deburr/polishing role.
  • Self-motivated and focused
  • Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Work to internal inspection procedures.
