Maintenance Technician
Description
Maintenance support technician. Use skilled trades experience and hands on training to perform duties of repair, installation, troubleshooting, and other automation maintenance on equipment and/or processes.
Work detail assigned via CMMS work order system and/or direction from supervision. Must include ability to utilize wiring diagrams, schematics, machine codes, manuals, and other technical instructions:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problematic root causes. Perform a variety of electrical tests, equipment disassembly, replace defective parts or connections. Ability to reassemble equipment and test accordingly.
- Install and modify equipment in accordance with local and plant code. Diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, servo controlled automation.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits as necessary, modify or prepare wiring diagrams to document changes.
- Test, repair and/or replace defective machine components and units, such as motors, clutches, valves, gear, belts, hoses or controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance activity and work orders.
- Good communication and teamwork is a must.
- Assist in training other technical or setup personnel
- Specify and order material through the purchasing organization to assist in procurement of needed material.
- Perform other designated/assigned work/duties as directed by supervision.
2 years minimum Maintenance experience.
Manufacturing Experience preferred.
Automotive experience a plus.
Robotics and Welding experience a plus.
Trade certifications are a plus.
Requires the use pneumatic tools, forklifts, multi-meters, and common hand tools.
Follow safety rules and keep the work area in clean and orderly condition.
