Senior Metal Bellows continues to refine and develop welded metal bellows technology and the integration of welded metal bellows into critical aerospace, semiconductor, medical, defense, and industrial applications. What is the Position?

Under minimal direction, perform a wide variety of complex dimensional and functional inspection and test procedures on tools, dies, and fixtures, received material and parts, in-process components and final assemblies, to ensure compliance with quality requirements with minimum supervision

What are the key responsibilities?

  1. Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
  2. Interpret customer and internal engineering drawings as well as other company specifications and quality requirements to determine if material, components, and product comply.
  3. Develop complex special precision inspection set-up procedures and protocols that accurately and precisely verify requirements from engineering documentation including complex drawings.
  4. Interpret ANSI 14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements to determine measure and verify conformance.
  5. Work collaboratively with engineering personnel to develop techniques and procedures to accurately and precisely verify compliance for new components.
  6. Perform first piece and/or first article inspection for all levels of components/products in accordance with AS9102.
  7. Assist in the determination of root cause to support continuous improvement of our processes and product.
  8. Perform calibration of measuring devices and complicated precision gauges.
  9. Use a wide variety of test and inspection instruments/equipment including pressure gauges, hand tools, optical comparators, vernier, and weights.
  10. Develop and document programs for the inspection of complex components using a CMM.
  11. Manage customer source inspection visits and present inspection data including first articles to achieve authorization to ship.
  12. Assist in the training of other inspectors.

 

Secondary Elements:

  1. Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
  2. Maintain necessary records. Detect and report operation of faulty equipment and unusual conditions to team leader.   Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe and orderly working condition. Follow safety rules and regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  3. Work effectively with others and actively participate in continuous business improvement activities.
  4. Ensure compliance with all Quality and Environmental Health & Safety procedures. Attend EH&S training relative to functional duties.

 

What Education and Qualifications are needed for the job?

  • Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions
  • HS Diploma or equivalent- completed apprenticeship or technical degree
  • Over 5 years experience
