Maintenance Technician II
Description:
Perform duties to maintain and repair a wide variety of complex building facilities and systems.
Duties:
Work from maintenance manuals, prints, work orders and instructions:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of equipment such as heating, cooling, stamping, bending, forming, welding equipment and/or electrical systems.
- Test and tear down equipment and replace defective parts and component units such as motors, clutches, gear tranes, belts, hoses or controls.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation and recommend required maintenance action.
- Direct helpers on repair projects.
- Assist in training departmental employees.
- Install or assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.
- Perform work on any 277 and/or 480 systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC with handheld or laptop devices.
Use pneumatic tools, grease gun, painting tools, forklift, multi-meters and common hand tools.
Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Prerequisite:
- 1 year work as a Maintenance Mechanic (802)
Base Hourly Pay: $34.14/hr.
Pay ranges are determined by role and level, and within the range individual pay is determined by additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
