Senior Aerospace SSP, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and qualifying complex ducting systems for aerospace applications. Since its humble roots in 1945, the campus has now expanded to include a 59,000 sq. ft high-volume production facility, in addition to its legacy 131,000 ft2 main buildings which combined, accommodate over 500 employees. What does the job involve?
Summary: Operates light to medium punch presses to perform a variety of operations involving single trip operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the operation of blanking and trimming to yield parts, including but not limited to:
- Assists skilled operators in the set-up and operation of all types of punch presses by performing manual duties as directed.
- Requires care in nesting parts or feeding stock to prevent damage to tool.
- All set-ups are to be made by previously established method and under close supervision.
- Performs typical operations such as pre-forming, final forming and stake nozzles.
- Checks parts to blueprints specifications, templates and jigs.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and make minor adjustment to machine when necessary.
- Performs rework, repair and other associated operations relating to the work described.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 2-5 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
- Language: Ability to interpret work order/ traveler work instructions, able to establish a good communication channel with peers, also knows how to read assembly blue prints.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Tools used:
- Hand tools, impact gun and various gauges.
