Who is Senior Aerospace Spencer?

Senior Aerospace Spencer is an engineer-driven organization focused on high-pressure hydraulic fluid fittings for use in commercial and military aerospace applications. We specialize in source-controlled, standard, and proprietary fittings. Senior Aerospace Spencer also identifies solutions for fluid conveyance challenges related to fitting applications. Our engineering capabilities include conceptual design assistance, modeling, testing and qualification. Our senior engineering professionals are active members of the SAE G3 Fluid Fitting committee and are recognized industry-wide for their expertise.

What does the job involve?

The In Process Inspector Trainee will perform various quality functions including determining in-process compliance and requirements for machined parts. This position also maintains safe work practices and standard work procedures to operate as safely and efficiently as possible.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • In-process inspections and measurements on machined parts.
  • Use hand measuring tools and other inspection equipment.
  • Perform visual inspection of products.
  • Data entry and documenting inspection results.
  • Able to read, write, and do mathematical calculations (addition and subtraction with calculator).

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with others in a team environment.

What qualifications should I have?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Requires the ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written.
  • Strong organizations skills.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed to meet specific deadlines.
  • No Experience needed; we will train.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual Acuity: Good vision to distinguish details and colors, crucial for inspecting products, materials, or equipment.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to manipulate small parts or tools, especially for tasks requiring precise measurements or adjustments.
  • Mobility and Agility: General mobility to navigate around the workspace.
  • Stamina and Endurance: Stand, walk, sit or maintain focus for extended periods, particularly in production lines, field inspections, or laboratory settings.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lift or move objects or equipment, with weights varying based on specific duties.
  • Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols in industrial or hazardous environments to minimize risks during inspections.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicate findings and recommendations with colleagues, supervisors, clients, or customers.
  • Documentation: Basic computer skills for recording inspection results, completing reports, and using specialized inspection software or systems.
