We are currently seeking a full-time Processor for our 1st shift at our Ketema facility in El Cajon, CA.

What Does the Job Involve?

The Processor performs part preparation operations prior to chemical treatment and post processing cleaning operations for metallic parts.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Loads and unloads racks for cleaning, pickling, etching, degreasing, and similar treating of metal parts. Steam cleans parts using high pressure steam. Hand wipes parts using solvents.
  • Tends tanks during processing time.
  • Operates labeling, weighing, and sealing machines.
  • Works from travelers and written instructions to accomplish work.
  • Observes and abides by all safety requirements such as wearing earplugs and respirators when required.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follows directions from the supervisor, interacts well with co-workers, understands and follows work rules and procedures, complies with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accepts constructive feedback for improvement, establishes goals and objectives, and exhibits initiative and commitment.
  • Uses knowledge to recommend improvements to parts, materials, processes and procedures used in processing.

What Key Skills and Experience Do I Need?

  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and portable power tools.

What Qualifications Should I Have?

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of general work experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
