Who is SSP?
Senior Aerospace SSP, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and qualifying complex ducting systems for aerospace applications. Since its humble roots in 1945, the campus has now expanded to include a 59,000 sq. ft high-volume production facility, in addition to its legacy 131,000 ft2 main buildings which combined, accommodate over 500 employees. Vertically integrated with its own foundry, fabrication shop, and ISO certified engineering lab, Senior Aerospace SSP acquired by Senior PLC in 1995 and has continued its expansion into new programs and technologies.
What does the job involve?
ummary: Performs administrative and reception functions in support of the Human Resources Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Welcome and process (sign in, issue badges and safety equipment) customers, guests, applicants, and new employees.
- Create and maintain all employee Human Resources files (personnel, medical/benefits, I-9, etc.)
- Compile, correct, submit, and maintain all training records in addition to publishing an annual training calendar.
- Update and maintain SSP’s Learning Management System.
- ADP HRIS data entry (applicant tracking, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, etc.)
- Assist with the data entry of time and attendance corrections.
- Retrieves messages daily from the employee attendance call-in center and notifies supervisors/managers.
- Manage the attendance point system daily in addition to preparing and distributing disciplinary action notices.
- Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local laws – ie: Meal and Rest Tracking/Monitoring, Bulletin Board Compliance
- Create and distribute inter-company correspondence.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, training sessions, and pre-employment activities including appointments and background checks.
- Maintain all off-site storage records and prepare, retrieve, and send files from/to off-site storage.
- Maintain all HR forms (including new employee packets, workers’ compensation packets, etc.)
- Create and issue employee badges, as needed.
- Copy employee files and other documents
- Follow all Senior SSP policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum education- high school diploma.
- 2 years of administrative/related experience required.
Required Skills:
- Language: Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, comprehend, present, and write (in English). Ability to work well with others in a team setting and professionally interact with employees at all organizational levels.
- Reasoning Ability: Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to identify and solve problems involving many variables in various situations.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Other Abilities: Must be a detail-orientated, self-starting administrator who can work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, multiple-priority environment. An individual with aspirations for a career in Human Resources is preferred. Must have MS Office skills, administrative skills, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
