Maintenance Facilities Engineer - What does the job involve?
Working as part of the maintenance and facilities team, ensuring that plant, equipment and facilities on site are maintained and are running correctly and safety. Ensure that all work carried out in a professional and safe manner and in accordance with current regulations.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.
Core shift - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:15 and Friday 08:00 to 15:00 with 30-minute break for lunch
Maintenance Facilities Engineer - What will my responsibilities include?’
. Ideally City & Guilds Mechanical Maintenance or similar discipline qualified
. Time served apprenticeship or demonstrable equivalent experience.
. Mechanical experience in manufacturing machines, involving hydraulics and pneumatics, fault finding and repair.
. Proven welding and fabrication experience.
. Some electrical experience and knowledge.
. Positive, problem-solving attitude and willing to learn new skills.
. Be able to contribute to and work within a small team, whilst still able to work on own initiative.
. To be flexible with working hours to support planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns
. You may be required on occasion to perform Ad hoc responsibilities to support business needs
. Resourceful and able adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude and possess a strong work ethic
Desirable
. Experience and knowledge of lean engineering principles and techniques
. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive, particularly hot, and cold forming presses.
. Experience working with and supervising external contractors
